Probably my least favorite installment in the Fever Series so far (I did finish it in a day however!) I continue to find Moning's prose sloppy and unremarkable, but she is a master at plot. I am so invested in what is going to happen to Mac, Barrons, V'lane, and the gang, and to be honest, I don't really have any guesses for what will pass! I don't know if that's due to the immersive nature of the story--I'm just not thinking about it--or if she's really good at keeping her plot twists guarded. Off to read the next installment! When I'm done with them and can finally stop and breathe for a moment, I want to spend some good time thinking about the sexual politics of the series. V'lane and Barrons both dominate Mac (often physically) and force their will upon her, yet she is also determined to carve her own path. There are also numerous marks about the weakness and illogic of women. I just can't decide how I feel about it.
